The Run kicks off from Clarkes Beach at 7am with the Walk following about 10 minutes later. You can run the walk but you won't be timed. You can not walk the run.
Your race pack can be collected on the morning of the event from 5.45am at Clarkes Beach car park (the start/finish line). Please bring your email confirmation or your allocated registration number ( you should have received this via email).
You will be issued a race bib with a built-in timing chip that will time your run. Please make sure you return your race bib to the race crew and allocated buckets once you’ve finished your race. There is a $50 replacement fee if you fail to return the bib.
On completion of the race each participant will receive water, fruit, a snack pack and a Byron Bay Lighthouse Run special gift.
These will take place at approx 9.15am outside the Beach restaurant on the grass area. This area will be set up with a range of food and drink options, merchandise, our sponsor’s tents and charities plus live music to create a great atmosphere to relax with fellow runners. Eat, drink and enjoy the post-race before the official presentation. If you wish to have a sit-down breakfast at the restaurant we recommend you book this in advance. Casual breakfast options are also available.

In these uncertain times our event may need to change at short notice due to sudden lockdowns etc. Should the event be postponed due to external events beyond our control we ask you to consider transferring your registration to the next event date or, if you are not able to make the next event, consider forfeiting your registration as a donation. If that does not work for you, please contact us to arrange a refund. Thank you.
There is no parking at the Clarkes Beach caravan park. Check surrounding streets, the car park at Main Beach or Captain Cook Lookout. Please pay attention to parking signs and charges and bring change to cover parking costs.
We understand that this event disrupts the usual traffic, and appreciate your cooperation and patience throughout the duration of the event. Every effort is being made to consider individual circumstances and minimise the inconvenience placed on the community.
There will be traffic diversions and change of conditions from 6.55AM until the last competitor has finished the race (estimated at 9.30AM).
Local traffic can exit out of properties on lighthouse point under the guidance and advice of traffic control.
There is a toilet block at Main Beach and portaloos at the registration area of the event.
LIGHTHOUSE RUN CREW
All crew members for the run are volunteers. They do a fantastic job and without them, this event would not be possible. You will notice them in bright green shirts with the Lighthouse Run logo and “crew” printed on the back. Don’t hesitate to ask a crew member if you need assistance.
There will be an ambulance and first aid staff at the registration area should it be needed.
Post-run massage is available. Please pre-book and pay online to secure your spot. You can also take a chance on the day and wait in line. All funds from the massages go directly to the supported charities.
