Race Day Info

Race packs

Your race pack can be collected on the morning of the event from 5.45am at Clarkes Beach car park (the start/finish line). Please bring your email confirmation or your allocated registration number ( you should have received this via email).
You will be issued a race bib with a built-in timing chip that will time your run. Please make sure you return your race bib to the race crew and allocated buckets once you’ve finished your race. There is a $50 replacement fee if you fail to return the bib.
On completion of the race each participant will receive water, fruit, a snack pack and a Byron Bay Lighthouse Run special gift.

These will take place at approx 9.15am outside the Beach restaurant on the grass area. This area will be set up with a range of food and drink options, merchandise, our sponsor’s tents and charities plus live music to create a great atmosphere to relax with fellow runners. Eat, drink and enjoy the post-race before the official presentation. If you wish to have a sit-down breakfast at the restaurant we recommend you book this in advance. Casual breakfast options are also available.

One overall male and female winner will be awarded a 5-star accommodation prize together with a trophy. Age category winners for the 10km race receive a trophy. All children receive a trucker’s cap.
Over 100 prizes will be drawn from all race entries. Participants need to be present at the presentation to receive a prize, so make sure you stick around! Check out all the prizes here.

There is no parking at the Clarkes Beach caravan park. Check surrounding streets, the car park at Main Beach or Captain Cook Lookout. Please pay attention to parking signs and charges and bring change to cover parking costs.

Road closures

There will be road closures from 6.55am on race day for approximately 40 mins. A detailed map and exact roads affected will be updated here shortly.

There is a toilet block at Main Beach and portaloos at the registration area of the event.

Lighthouse Run crew

All crew members for the run are volunteers. They do a fantastic job and without them, this event would not be possible. You will notice them in bright green shirts with the Lighthouse Run logo and “crew” printed on the back. Don’t hesitate to ask a crew member if you need assistance.

First aid

There will be an ambulance and first aid staff at the registration area should it be needed.

Post-run massage is available. Please pre-book and pay online to secure your spot. You can also take a chance on the day and wait in line. All funds from the massages go directly to the Byron Bay breast cancer support group.

Remember we operate on NSW time!
